In New York City alone, there are nearly 180 coworking spaces. Around the country, coworking spaces continually are emerging and branches are expanding to metropolitan hubs, but why is that? Researchers have studied the effects of coworking and found these spaces to be overwhelmingly positive. Productivity is higher, a sense of community is formed, and it gives you the autonomy that allows you to think creatively. But, with so many to choose from, it’s difficult to find your personal niche. Why Kin Spaces? Kin means family and that is exactly what we strive for. Our space is boutique styled, with fewer confined offices and more open space, creating a tight-knit community that we are proud of. We have conference rooms, equipped with televisions programmed with Apple TV for video conferencing, spacious personal phone booths with desks, and large community areas, ideal for meeting new people during your breaks.
Our space features a fully equipped kitchen, complete with coffee, as well as a diverse selection of wine and beer. Other amenities include a friendly reception service, for scheduling conference rooms and gathering and distributing your mail. The floor to ceiling windows surrounding our space offers plenty of natural lighting and our offices are split with open glass walls, a way to prevent the commonly known cubicle-feel.
We are located in the heart of SoHo, the central hub of New York City for artists, designers, and hip young entrepreneurs, so you are guaranteed to be inspired and motivated by those around you. The subway is seconds away and is connected to the A, B, C, D, E, F, J, M, N, Q, R, Z, 1 & 6 lines. Our office is easily accessible, being on the second floor, with an elevator and stair entrance on Broadway. 24/7 access is available through an app that keys you into the building.
And when your company does take off, you aren’t tied into a year-long contract, but rather you pay on a month-to-month basis, allowing for an easy and smooth exit when necessary. Our pricing starts $200 per month for an office desk, and all options allow for full access to all amenities.
In the past, we’ve used our space for New York Fashion Week fittings by Kith, featured graphic designers, stylists, bloggers, tv shows, and we are only just beginning. Events for our members are commonly held, from our monthly “Speaker Series,” to live music with local bands, and networking events to help build your company.
And finally, you are surrounded by some of the most intelligent, brightest people out there. Each person is trying to build their brand, and collaboration is common to coworking spaces. Networking with each other, bouncing ideas with one another, and working as together is what makes our community so unique and special. We operate on the theory that when creative minds collaborate, business thrives.
