Yes! Our flexible month-to-month contract allows you to maintain stability while your business grows.

WHAT DOES AN OFFICE SPACE AT KIN SPACES INCLUDE?

Your Kin Spaces office includes desks, chairs, lock for your door. You’re also welcome to bring in additional or alternate furniture. Contact your Kin Spaces Manager if you’d like to make changes to the setup and they’ll help make it happen.

INTERNET ACCESS

Your office has hard-wired (Ethernet) connections as well as access to Wi-Fi. Our Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, so you’ll be guaranteed to have access at all times..

CONFERENCE ROOM TIME

Your office comes with conference room credits that correlate with your office size. You can book rooms with the front desk staff (soon to be online!).

KIN MEMBER NETWORK AND COMMUNITY

Connect with other members through our online community. Ask questions, share stories, announce product launches and other good news, invite others to events, promote your job listings, or simply find someone to grab a beer with. It’s a great way to start meaningful relationships with creative entrepreneurs and business leaders.

PRINTING/ COPYING/ SCANNING

Kin Spaces has at least one multi-function copier / scanner / printer. Your membership comes with 150 black & white copies and 30 color prints (or copies) per desk.

WHEN DO THE AGREEMENTS START?

Kin Desk agreements begin the day you sign up. Private Office agreements begin on the 1st of the month. Due to our one month move-out policy, you are required to move out on the last day of the month for private offices. This allows for the new member to move in on the 1st of the month. If this day happens to lands on a weekend, we will sort out arrangements.

WHAT IF I’M LOOKING FOR AN OFFICE MORE THAN ONE MONTH IN THE FUTURE?

We have a one month move out policy that lets us know office availability on the 1st every month. Example: If notice is given for a move out date on August 31st, this office can be reserved for someone new to move in September 1st.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO RESERVE AN OFFICE?

Kin Spaces requires a deposit equal to a month and a half (1.5 months) when paying via ACH (auto withdrawal). If paying by credit card or wire transfer, Kin Spaces requires a deposit equal to two and a half months (2.5 months) plus $100 setup fee per desk in order to reserve an office for your team.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A KIN DESKAND PRIVATE OFFICE?

A Kin Desk is a shared workspace in a private office. Phone booths are available for phone calls. A Private Office is a fully enclosed, lockable space built for a team of 1-10 people (or more).

WHAT ARE THE BUILDING HOURS?

Kin Spaces is accessible by keycard 24/7. Kin Spaces staff are onsite between 10 AM – 6 PM Monday through Friday.

CAN GUESTS VISIT ME IN MY PRIVATE OFFICE?

We’d love to host your guests! Just make sure you register them in our easy online system or through the Kin Spaces onsite staff.

WHAT’S YOUR PET POLICY?

We gladly welcome pets. However, if you plan on bringing a pet to the building, you will be solely responsible for any injury or damage caused by your pet to other members or their property. Kin Spaces is not responsible for any injury or damage to your pet should it occur in or around the building. In addition, any pet brought into Kin Spaces must be vaccinated. We reserve the right to restrict your ability to bring your pet at our discretion.

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

For Private Offices you may pay by ACH (auto withdrawal), credit card or wire transfer. For Kin Desks you may pay by credit card. Note that wire transfers and credit card payments are subject to an additional deposit.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO LET KIN SPACES MANAGEMENT KNOW I’M MOVING OUT?

Members are required to give a one month notice to move out. Move out forms must be submitted by the last business day of the month prior to vacating. For example, if a member wants to move out on August 31st, they must give notice to Kin Spaces management on July 31st.

I AM A CURRENT KIN SPACES MEMBER AND WANT TO SHARE IT WITH FRIENDS. DOES KIN SPACES GIVE REFERRAL REWARDS IF I SEND A FRIEND TO KIN SPACES?

We are happy to help your friends and colleagues! Our referral program rewards Kin Spaces members with 10% of the initial license fee, paid to the referring member for up to one year.

DOES KIN SPACES CHARGE LATE FEES?

We charge a late fee of 10% of the outstanding invoice, which excludes service retainers (i.e. security deposits), for payments we haven’t received by the 10th of the month.

HOW DO CREDITS WORK?

Kin Desks and Private Office plans all include a monthly credit allocation that can be used to book conference rooms and workspace. After you have used your allotted credits, you are free to keep booking space at a cost of $25 per credit. Credits do not rollover from month to month.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF A KIN SPACES OFFICE?

Our offices are significantly larger compared to other co-working spaces in the area. There is more than enough desk space for a team to work comfortably. Schedule a tour to check it out for yourself!

WHAT ARE THE ADDITIONAL FEES FOR CONFERENCE ROOMS, PRINTING, ETC.?

Conference Room (per credit): $25.00

Black & White (per sheet printed): $0.08

Color (per sheet printed): $0.40

Extra Member Fee (per member per month)*: $100.00

Keycard Replacement Fee: $25.00

*Extra Member Fee: Your office space has a limited capacity. If the number of members or other individuals regularly using your office space exceeds the number allocated on your membership details form, you will be required to pay the additional fee listed above. For safety reasons, the number of members in your office space can never exceed 1.5x the number of desks, regardless of additional fees paid. We reserve the right to further limit the number of Members allowed at any point.

WHAT SIZE CONFERENCE ROOMS DO YOU HAVE?

Our Conference room can accommodate 8 people.

I JUST BOOKED A CONFERENCE ROOM. HOW DO I REGISTER MY GUESTS?

We are happy to host your guests! You may register as many guests as the room can hold, including yourself. This can be done simply by notifying our staff at the front desk of all your details and they will book you in.

CAN I REGISTER GUESTS FOR MY WORKSPACE?

At this time, we do not offer the option for Kin Desk members to have guests in our open area workspaces. If you would like to have a guest work with you for the day, you are welcome to book a conference room.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY KIN DESK MEMBERSHIP?

We’re sorry to see you go! Please contact us to complete cancellation.
*Please note that you must fill out the exit survey to complete cancellation. All cancellations are effective the last day of the month (e.g. if you cancel March 1, your membership will remain active until March 31, so feel free to take advantage of the 200 + benefits and discounts available to you until then!).
